Last month I had coffee with a friend who works as a financial advisor, and half of our talk was just him complaining about spreadsheets. Not markets. Not clients. Spreadsheets.

WealthAi is building an AI-native operating system for wealth managers. The simple idea is “robo-advice for the advisors”, not for the end customer. An AI coworker that sits inside the advisor’s daily workflow and takes the boring parts away.

The problem is real. Portfolio data lives across custodians, files, emails, and random exports. Advisors waste hours consolidating numbers, preparing reports, and chasing small admin tasks that do not move the client relationship forward.

WealthAi wants to pull that data into one place, surface insights, and automate everyday work like summaries and follow-ups. The company raised a $1 million pre-seed round from Fuel Ventures and Founders Factory to build and test the prototype.

I like this direction because it is not trying to replace the advisor with a machine. Many of my friends are advisors, and what they do is not only math. It is calm communication when clients panic, context when markets are noisy, and human trust built over years. AI should support that, not compete with it.

The business model is straightforward. Monthly licenses paid by advisory firms. If the product saves each advisor a few hours per week and helps them serve more clients without hiring, the ROI is obvious, especially now when fees are under pressure and clients expect a digital experience.

Bigger picture, this is where I see wealthtech going. Not another shiny dashboard, but a real OS that connects messy data pipes and turns them into decisions and actions. The winner will be the one that fits into compliance-heavy reality and still feels fast to use.
