Viero streamlines logistics with integrated fleet management and payment solutions
Viero, a Saudi startup, transforms fragmented fleet management by unifying delivery management, driver payouts, and fuel spend controls into a single platform. This curated FinTech pick is revolutionizing logistics with seamless financial integration.
A few years ago, while building consumer fintech products, I learned the hard way that operations always win. When the real world is messy, spreadsheets become the most expensive software in the company.
Fintech of my choice: Viero
Viero is a Saudi startup that sits right on a line I love. Fintech is about moving value. Logistics is about moving physical goods. They look different, but both live and die by timing, control, and trust.
What Viero is doing is simple to explain and hard to execute. They replace fragmented fleet tools with one platform that handles delivery management, driver payouts, fuel spend controls, and real-time order tracking. One dashboard instead of ten tabs and a WhatsApp group.
The part that makes it fintech, not just SaaS, is the money flow. Fleets do not just need routes. They need to pay drivers on time, keep fuel leakage under control, and understand the true cost per delivery before the month ends. When fuel prices swing and margins are thin, I will reconcile it later, which is how companies quietly go bankrupt.
Viero was founded in 2024 by Khaled Dakkak, Ahmed Alotaibi, and Marat Khamash, and they are aiming to become an operating layer for logistics fintech in MENA. Last week, they raised a $1.2 million seed round from Watheeq Capital, Share Investment Co., Numu Angel Network, and others. That is not a huge number, but it is enough to prove integrations and win the first serious fleets.
The business model is the right one for this category. Subscription fees for the software. Transaction fees when money moves. But the real moat is not the pricing. It is deep integration with fuel stations and payment rails across the Middle East. Once you are embedded in how fuel is authorized and how drivers are paid, switching becomes painful, and “visibility” turns into real control.

I would love to see Viero win because it is the kind of boring infrastructure that quietly upgrades an entire industry. The next time I speak with fleet operators in the region, I will be listening for one thing: where exactly the money leaks, and how fast they can plug it.
If you run logistics or last-mile delivery, what is your biggest pain today: driver payouts, fuel control, route efficiency, or real-time order visibility?
