Vennre connects HENRYs to curated, Sharia-compliant private market investments
Vennre is transforming private market access for high earners in the Middle East by offering curated, transparent, and Sharia-compliant investment options. Discover why this FinTech is Dmitry's choice for impactful growth and real value.
A few years ago, while building investing products, I kept coming back to one simple question. Are we helping real businesses grow, or just moving money around in clever circles?
Fintech of my choice: Vennre
Vennre is going after a very specific gap in the Middle East. High earners who are not yet “old money” want access to private markets, but they want it curated, transparent, and Sharia-compliant.
The team, Ziad Mabsout, Anas Halabi, and Abdulrahman AlMalik, just raised $9.6M pre-Series A, co-led by Vision Ventures and anb seed Fund, with Sanabil 500, Ace & Co, and Plus VC also joining. For an early-stage platform, the traction is already real. They say more than $40M in transactions has flowed through Vennre.
The big context matters here. Private markets are a roughly $14T global opportunity, and individuals still have less than 5% exposure. That mismatch creates a predictable outcome. Wealthy insiders get access. Everyone else is left with public markets and “whatever your bank sells you.” Vennre is trying to make the private layer more accessible for HENRYs, with options like venture, real estate, and alternatives.
I am not a Muslim, and I am not here to talk theology. But the more I look at Sharia investing principles, the more I see a mature financial discipline. Less “money from money.” More connection to real assets, clear risk, and value creation. It reminds me of ESG, but in a more practical way. Where does your capital go, what does it support, what do you leave behind?
Product-wise, I like that they talk about a full wealth journey, not just deal distribution. And the Sharia board is not a marketing badge. It is part of the trust layer. In private markets, trust is the product. The moat is not only the deals, but it is also the curation, compliance process, and the ability to keep users in the platform across years, not weeks.

Next time I’m thinking about how to design investing products with less hype and more substance, Vennre is one of the references I will keep close.
Do you think private markets will become mainstream for individuals in the next 5 to 10 years, or will they stay a “club” product?
