Felix Pago lets Latino immigrants in the U.S. send money to family in LatAm from WhatsApp, through a chat with a bot that collects the basics and triggers the transfer.
Under the hood, Félix uses modern rails like stablecoins for speed and FX efficiency, then delivers locally to bank accounts, wallets, or cash pickup depending on the corridor and partner setup.
The business model is simple: take a fee per transfer, win on trust and repeat usage, and compound distribution because WhatsApp is already where the customer lives.
Founded by Manuel Godoy (Venezuelan-American) and Bernardo García (Mexican), the company has leaned hard into partnerships too, including integrations announced with Mastercard and Mercado Pago to expand how recipients can receive and use funds.
In April 2025, Félix announced a $75M Series B led by QED Investors, with participation from Monashees, Switch Ventures, Castle Island, HTwenty, General Catalyst Customer Value Fund, and Endeavor Catalyst. It said it processed over $1B in remittances in 2024 and added 250,000 new users in the past year, with NPS above 90.
This is a FinTech of the Day pick because “distribution” in remittances is usually the whole game, and Félix is betting that the best onboarding is no onboarding at all.
